In class we were giving a short read The Lottery (Shirley Jackson), about a community trying to hold on to the old traditions. As I began to read we notice some strange things in the short story of what the community was trying to conduct. The lottery isn't so much of winnings something but more so losing so much.
In this short story by Ernest Hemingway indicates the difficult situation to witch someones life or a relationship would end. Also the hard cross road that two young people would have to endure. The choices could either have a huge impact or no impact at all. In this blog post I will be discussing my opinion on the couples relationship and her status of pregnancy.
Introduction
As a society we need to learn how to hold on to the life we have and grasp on to time because sooner or later time will run out. Decisions, we have the ability to control what happens in our life and the decisions we make and how it will effect everyone around us. In this blog assignment there is a reading by Lulu Wang called “What You Don’t Know.” What would you do or how would you feel if you had to lie to protect a family member? Well thats what this story is about a young women who lied to protect her family. Did you agree with the family's choice to deceive Wang's grandmother? Yes I total agree and understand why the family had to hide the illness from everyone else, When there are too many confusion it can cause a lot conflicts. Depending on the situation the family has going on it can have a really bad outcome or a positive one but in this case they chose to keep the information from the grand mom to protect her. When have you made an important choice to tell someone a difficult truth or you made an important choice to tell a lie that had a major impact on you and/or someone else? Relationships has its up's and down''s just so happened that one of my good friendships had to end bc we were so different from each other and all ways bumped heads heads and i was just like enough is enough I shouldn't have to hide who i truly am as a person.

“I will not allow anybody to minimize my life, not anybody, not a living soul-nobody, no lover, no mother, no son, no boss, no president, nobody”. (Maya Angelou) In this memoir titled I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings written by Maya Angelou, takes us through her journey growing up as a young black girl but yet as she grows up she finds herself trapped in a cage. We were giving a short story from novel to read over and answser a few questions. My Name is Margaret (Maya Angelou) **** I agree to disagree with Margaret for many reasons such as, I disagree with the action she took to speak her mind about the problem of her name. She decided to break the casserole dish and two green glasses that were very special to her employer. Instead of Margaret speaking her mind through her mouth to hush the gossip of her being dumb she should've just said how she felt. **** As a dancer I've experienced people trying to walk all over me, many thought because my physical presentation was small and cute that meant I wouldn't bite back. It took time for me to become brave and have courage in who I really was and with the help of my bigger sister people knew not to mess with me but for the times my sister wasn't present they took that as there shot to bully. I remember one time a group of older girls were very upset because I got he led in the group dance and they didn't so they tried to bully me. They pushed and pulled, while my teacher watched and finally I punched her right in the nose. See I understood what I did and knew it was wrong but I had to stand up for myself just like Margret i had to speak my mind.
